I hope my message isn’t a repeat - if so, please direct me to the correct thread where I should post it. I’ve looked through many of the posts here and haven’t found anything directly related to my question .

Basically, I have been told by a Spanish company that once they begin the application process for getting me my work visa (full time, “contrato laboral” - I’m American), I can begin working. So long as they can prove to the state that they’ve handed in all necessary documents and are waiting for the authorization to be confirmed, I can begin working. Is this how it goes, or are they not telling me the whole/correct story?
