Hello,

I am planning a holiday to Majorca next month and wanted to enquire as to whether a member of our party might be stopped upon arrival for failure to pay maintenance fees for a time share in Tenerife. She received terrible service from the company and they were asking for extra money (?800) to refurbish the apartments and as a result has stopped using the timeshare. I would be grateful if anyone can help us. I’ve e-mailed the British embassy to ask them as well as quite a few time share help websites but no-one has replied.

Thank you

Cant say to be sure of course but I would say its extremely unlikely that the Spanish authorities would get involved in a matter of this nature. The argument is between your friend and the timeshare company (which is probably UK based anyway) and has nothing to do with the Spanish state…
