Hi all, We are a couple in the 1st throws of looking for the “dream bar” in Spain,  Majorca being top of the list. I should point out that we are not starry eyed dreamers, expect to work hard and are not scared to do so.
We have 2 daughters 16 & 3, the 3 year old will be coming with us from the start as we wish to get her integrated into the lifestyle, learning the language etc from an early age.
Basically we are looking for any advice, experiences, good and bad, pitfalls etc that others have had over the years.
we are reading everything we can find but nothing can help more than real life experience.
I am planning on making a proper recce in late November, as we want to look “out of season” to way up our options as to whether we go for somewhere all year or season only.
Hopefully your replies won’t put us off!!

Thanks in anticipation

Hi colin,

Can’t be of any help re your bar, but can confirm spain is fab!!!  We live in Granada province and love….moved from Barcelona last year and no complaints.  My only recommendation would be to learn some Spanish…..,my husband speaks fluent, but mine is…well lets just say we are getting there.  It does help….big time….as long as you try everyone seems to be happy.  My time on here and reading some peoples experience has been a little negative…..but from my perspective, life is good and is there for the taking.  Hope all goes well with your tour later in the year…..can’t wait to hear how you get on!!

~All the best

If you look on the net Colin you’ll find plenty of bars for maneagement or sale - I came across them whilst I was looking for a house. I wish you the best of luck with your plans!
