Hi all

I know, I know, I know schoolgal error :-(

Bought a car, got everything else OK but didn’t get the Road Tax proof. No chance of contacting original owner to get this - where do I stand?

I realise if there’s outstanding money I need to pay this but how?

I have a gestor who I am about to use to get the car put into my name - will they be able to take care of it all?

Any pointers much appreciated!

Your gestoria can ask your local tax authority (SUMA if you are in Alicante region) if there is outstanding tax to pay - if there is you will have to pay the total amount due to be legal. Remember you have now inherited the tax debt if the previous owner has not paid it! Hope you got everything else including ITV (if car is over 4 yrs old)
