Hello,

I am leaving for Spain on Tuesday (for a few weeks) and I am just realizing now I may need a PIN for my Capital One Mastercard in order to use it over there. Is this true? It is a chip card that also has a magnetic “swipe” and signature box on the back of it is as well.

I called Capital One and they said they could mail me a PIN and would get to me in 7-10 business days. Doesn’t do me much good. Ill be gone.

Am I in for trouble with this? I have a debit card and I guess I can just withdraw cash to pay for everything but I’d rather not. The Capital One card has 0 foreign transaction fees so I’d prefer to use it as much as possible

Please help

I didn’t find the right solution from the internet.
