How long did you have to wait on a ‘list’? And did the local government actually find you an alternative place at another school while you were waiting?

Do most ‘tourist’ area schools provide extra lessons for non-Spainish nationals?

Our plan is to head up to the Orgiva area for both a home and schooling, is this a complete non-starter for non-Spanish speaking children?

...although we do plan to get them Spanish lessons prior to our move!

We made our permanent move here 3 years ago and both my girls go to the local village school…..no problems with places or the language…they adapt very quickly.  They now both speak with the most atrocious Andaluz accent (eg: in reference to a baloon popping - “sa plotao” actually means ” se ha explotado”). I’m sure your kids will adapt as quickly as mine and you’ll find that the local state schools are actually very good.
