Hello!! 

I am an American citizen who is planning to come to Alicante in April 2008 on a tourist visa.  I understand that a tourist visa is valid for three months, and if I understand correctly if you stay three full months then you have to stay out of the EU for three months after that before coming back in.  I have two separate questions:

1)  If I stay in Spain for two or two and a half months, then leave the EU for a few weeks, will I have a problem coming back and getting another 90 day visa??

2)  If I stay in Spain for three months, and then leave the EU for a few weeks, is it too risky to try to come back?  What is the “real deal” at the entry port in the airport?  What is the worst case scenario ,and how likely is it?

Any advice or thoughts would be GREATLY APPRECIATED !!!!  😊
