I have a job for the summer here in Spain, after which I can get the paperwork to stay and work for the fall. Will my overstaying my tourist visa prior to that (US citizen) prohibit me from obtaining a work visa at the end of the summer. Do I have to leave Europe (or at least the Schengen area) for long enough to make it all legal, or could I just fly into a non-Schengen country then come back by train and hope nobody asks to many questions when summer rolls around and its time to get my work visa?
In short is there anyway around me having to go back to the states for a while?
This question may have a really obvious answer, I have researched a bit, but maybe there is something, or several things I haven’t caught. Any help will be most appreciated.
thanks
