Hello to everyone,

This is my first post on this forum and hopefully not the last 😊

I am very happy that I found this site, it is full of very useful and easily understandable information about life and work in Spain. I have read through it a lot and now have some questions.

Ok so here it goes, I am living presently in Toronto Canada=am Canadian and am planning to make that ?big move? to live and work in Spain this year. This will not be my first time there, I lived in Salamanca in the 90?s and that is where I fell in love with Spain. Now I am planning to move to ether Barcelona or Valencia. I found the site quite useful in getting info on Barcelona but somehow I could not find the same amount of info on Valencia. What I am looking for at the moment is info on what parts of town are OK to life in, how much is it going to cost, modes of transportation (subway/buses?)

At this point all the information is going to be very useful since it will give me a better picture of what to expect once there. I appreciate all the help and am looking forward to learning more and eventually joining you all there soon.

Well Siki welcome to the forum and you need to fine out about Valencia ,  It is the third largest city in Spain. Well he some thinks i know about the place and has much improved in last few years , Valencia saw rapid development that started in the mid-1990s, expanding its cultural and touristic possibilities, which turned it into a vibrant city, restoring old landmarks like the old Towers of the medieval city. Valencia?s port is one of the biggest on the Mediterranean and with 32nd America’s Cup is coming to Valencia in 2007, the port underwent radical changes in which the port was divided into two parts, one part remaining unchanged while the other section would be used exclusively for the America’s Cup festivities. The two sections are now divided by a wall that goes deep into the water in an attempt to maintain clean water for the America’s Cup side.

Tourism is become very big there now adays with new and old hotels you can look at this 3 links that will fill you in more
