Please could someone direct me to accurate information with regards Coverage of ADSL in Spain.

I’m moving to the Costa Blanca( but not 100% sure where ) but would still like to see a possible map of spain which shows the areas with coverage.

Wireless access via rural points and SAT is unpractical for my standard needs. Im just after standard 2MB ADSL hopefully with no download limits but thats not too important.

Ive checked the main providers and although my spainish is poor i couldnt find the correct linakage at all.

anyone help ?

Hola, I would be amazed if anyone can produce a map of ADSL coverage. I would think the rule of thumb to adopt (similar to the rollout in the UK) is you can expect ADSL in any main city/town and the more rural you go (because there wont be the demand) it maybe that it is not available. When you have shortlisted your place of residence check with the locals and or Telefonica. Spain is NOT a 3rd world country and the ADSL is very good but if you end up buying/renting a place in the mountains be prepared for a rural existence!!

Right, but that’s also why many expats have to install a long range wireless or satellite internet solution. Did you check out the Rural Internet article?

If you do not have a landline or cable then there is a very good option with WiMax broadband. It’s 35 euros a month and covers just about anywhere in the Costa Blanca.
