Hi, I wonder if someone could help me with some advice.

I am British and have lived in Spain for over 4 years and I am a full resident. In August this year I am marrying my Syrian fiance in Syria. She currently lives in Syria and has a Syrian passport. All the paperwork has been done for this to happen.

She plans to emigrate to Spain after we marry.

I have 3 questions:

1. Once in Spain, as a Syrian with a British husband who is a resident of Spain, will she be able to become a resident too?

2. Will she be able to get a NIE number and a permit to work?

3. My family live in the UK so we will make regular short visits to the UK to see them. So once she is in Spain can she apply for a long term visa to visit the UK. If so can this visa be applied for in Spain and how would she go about obtaining this visa?

Anyones help and advice would be greatly appreciated. I seem to be getting different answers from different places… but it never seems to be the right answer.

Regards, Paul
