Hi
Can anyone help please?
I am selling my house but I am unable to be at the final signing at the Notary.
I need to give the Power of Attorney to my friend to act on my behalf.
Can anyone please tell me how I do this and what papers are required?
Thanks

You will need to sign power over to your friend at a public notaria office. You will need NIE, Passport, your friend will need the same and maybe a residencia certificate. E-mail if you need further advice.

Yes you can either setup a power of attorney in Spain at the notary office or if you cant back here(Spain) you can do it in the UK - there are notary offices there to.

Its fairly easy - I did this for my friend. We both went to Notary with required docs.
On asking about it again if she wants to sell her place we were told we can either do it the same way again (as 1st dd not give me power to sell) or she can do her bit in the UK and then I can do mine over here.
