If you want updated food prices then simple.

Type in the name eroski or carrefour in your search engine, you`ll find there online stores, they now deliver to most places in Spain and even Eroski has an English version.

We cover all our outgoings, mortgage, food, lec etc etc with 1,200 Euros a month on average, lec and gas is quarterly but we still budget monthly.

Thats me, my wife, my kid, 2 cars and a three bed flat.

There really isn`t much difference in Spain or UK, the exception comes in the form of Exchange rate`s and pension`s.

If you earn in Spain, live in Spain, its the same standard of living.

Last year my wife and I lived in a town in Alicante region. Our 2 bed apartment was 350 euro per month and we spent less than 600 euro on everything else. We didn’t eat out, shopped at supermarkets and weekly produce market, no home phone only mobiles for text messages home or each other. Wife cooked daily, often twice, coffee out most days, no car [Train cheap to Alicante]. Almost no heating costs, only a bit of bottled gas when really cold for a few weeks. Hope that’s useful for someone.
