Hello all. We both 44 and lived in Spain ( Valencia region) 1 year now. My wife works full time, pays into the Spanish system, and has a SIP card for full healthcare entitlement.
My question is this. I dont work, but am i also,as her husband, entitled to full Spanish healthcare based on my wife paying into the system? If so what do i do to obtain a SIP card?
If im not why not?
We have asked numerous people and no one seems to know, especially with this new law change for our region

look forward to your replies

If one family member is working and paying into the system it covers all immediate family members. Take proof of you r wife working and paying, proof of your married status, padron, residencia passport etc to the social security office and they issue you the paperwork to take to your centro de salud who will issue you a SIPS card.

and in a similar vein…does the above work if one of the married couple is entitled to healthcare by virtue of having the E123 form from the UK (this entitles person to full healthcare in Spain as they receive disability benefits from the UK). i.e are immediate family members entitled to health care as well?

Frankly I very much doubt it. Suggest you make official enquiries.
