i am hoping to relocate to spain when i have finished work in late sept.i have noticed that it is possible to apply for this in england before we arrive . has any body done this and would they reccomend this as opposed to applying in spain. as yet we do not know where we are going but we are looking for long term rental villas in the javea /arboleas regions . have not yet made our minds up. the reason why iam asking is it could be all on the last minute due to no date of finishing from work and also the sale of our house
and when we arrive i would need an identity to buy cars pay bills etc. . is there car dealers that do long rentals at reasonable rates.

As far as i know you cannot get your NIE in England as you have to pay
6.80 euro fee at the bank the day before.The form can not be downloaded.
It only takes 1 hour to get a NIE

Depends where you live, in Almeria it costs 9 euros and takes 15 days.

Contact the British Embassy, it is possible to get an NIE through them.

pretty sure you need an address in the province your moving to as well! best getting it when you arrive, it’s not too much of a hassle.
