Can anyone help me with regard to Private Health Insurance.
I am moving out to spain with my son and we will be renting a property, my husband is staying behind in the uk and
comuting for the time being due to work commitments.  We have applied for our EHIC cards and are coming out next
week to finalise our paperwork and also get our Empadromiento cards to register at the doctors.  I have read that it
will also be necessary to get Private health insurance cover.  We are covered with Bupa through my husbands work
in the u.k. but they say to get cover for us in Spain it will be 250 pm, pounds,which seems alot.  What sort of treatment can
I expect without the private medical insurance, would i be covered for a serious accident, chronic illness, hospitalization
for any reason etc.  I just want to make sure i am well covered for eventualities.  We also have extensive travel insurance
through our bank.

We will be working towards paying into the social system once my husband has re-located but it is the interim I am worried
about, can anyone give me any advise if they have experienced the same situation.
