Hi there to all - just registered on the forum so thought I would briefly introduce myself.  I currently live in the UK but my husband and I are hoping to move to the Valencia area later this year and so thought I should get on here and find out a few more things and try to get advice.  I speak a little Spanish and my husband is originally from Dominican Republic and so speaks native Spanish and fluent English. My husband will hopefully be working (he works for Game here and will hopefully do the same or similar over there) and I wil I hope be running a B&B;if everything goes according to plan.

Any advice on moving to Spain would of course be welcome.

Thanks very much - the site looks great and everyone seems to be very helpful, I’m sure I will spend a lot of time here before and after our move to Spain.

I found this site invaluable in the run up to our move and since Kate, everyone is really helpful and knowledgeable.  We wound up about an hour south of Valencia in the end, its a lovely part of the world, and I hope all your plans come together.

Hi there, thanks.  Where are you living then? - we’re looking at a place in Benicull at the moment - do you know it?

We’re in Javea Kate about an hour south of Valencia.  I don’t know Benicull but we have some friends around Gandia and Oliva - the campo is very beautiful throughout the area.  This forum will I am sure be a huge help, there’s a separate board all about moving questions so do check that out and what’s been asked (probably by me at some stage!!)
