I noticed the site and thought I would post a question or two. It seems that like me, many others have found Spain to be an excellent place that they want to call home. I am a US Citizen. My mother is a Spanish citizen and my father is a US citizen. My parents and extended family (huge family - aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins…....) live in Madrid, for the most part. I would like to be able to live and work in Spain in order to be closer to them.

I am new to the site and have a few questions. I noticed that there thousands of posts and several areas explaining some of the things I will be asking, but I was wondering if someone could directly post to me some instructions on the following topics:

I would like to claim dual citizenship (US and Spanish). I am a US citizen and would like to be come a Spanish citizen, as well. How do I do this? What documents do I need, etc…?

Although I do not have a personal residence, my parents own a home in Madrid, Spain. It is my secondary residence. Is there anyway that this can be useful in gaining a work visa or citizenship.

What is the quickest way to be able to work in Spain (legally)? Should I seek Citizenship then a Work Visa or vice versa?

Finally, are there any companies that offer sponsorship, in order for me to focus my employment search?

I appreciate any help offered.
