Hi all!!
Here is our story, feel free to advice us!
I, Dutch living in spain, got married 4 weeks ago with my wife (Indonesian nationality).
Soon my wife will be coming here on a 90 day tourist visum.
In indonesia we did everything according to the rules. We had the wedddingbooks legalized in Dutch embassy because thats a requirement to make the marriage official.
After that, we hopefully went to spain embassy in Jakarta to apply for a regroupingvisum. That didnt went very well though. According to Spain our wedding should be registered in the Netherlands to make it recognized in Spain. And this takes more or less 7 (!!) months! Since we couldnt apply for the regroupvisum we applied for a 90 days touristvisum.
Also here a lawyer i spoke with said: “it is necessary for us to have a document issued by the Netherlands Civil Registry (or whatever the equivalent agency is called) that says that the Netherlands recognizes your marriage”
When my wife is here we want to apply for the regroupingvisum anyway, with the legalisation from dutch embassy in jakarta, but without the registering in the Netherlands.
Now is our question: Will this be a problem or you think we can get her the visum without the paper from the Netherlands?
If anyone knows a good lawyer or gestor who can help us in this 1, please say so. I live in Barcelona area.
Thanx all!!
