Hello everyone,

I’m currently planning a summer trip through Spain and Portugal on which I would like to visit people who live off the grid or are off-grid-ready. I’m interested in building materials, solar / wind / hydropower energy etc. I will be travelling in July and August. If you should know anyone who I should see or if you live off-grid yourself, please get in contact with me (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)).

Many thanks!

Take care,
Ingo

What does off-grid mean??

Well, it’s usually defined as a property without mains electricity and water, therefore operating self-sufficient through means of solar power, windmill, hydropower etc.

Markus/Mike…
Sounds like this person is doing some research - with a view to being enviro friendly???
Mike - you sound like you are in this business…
so you should have a handle on it no?

(We live out in the campo - but near enough to have mains water & elec… But we are looking at solar for hot
water at least…
Maybe even the rest… ‘If’ we could give up all our electronic goods - TV, Fridge etc… etc…
But guessing we would need pannels as large as the garden (1/4 acre) to achieve this 😉

I like people who are prepared to ask an ‘out of the ordinary’ Q…
Will be interested to see how Ingos ideas turn out 😊

(No I’m not in the trade, just happened to be trawling the Net..)

HI Sue, I have dropped him a note, for some locations of people with various sizes of off grid, from basic systems up to fully auto power plants

thanks
Mike.
