We will host an american au pair in Spain for a long period (at least 10 months), and we would appreciate if you could share your experiences with VISAS.
I have read that the au pair should ask for a Student VISA. But for a student visa she is required to be enrolled in a Spanish course (and pay it in advance). A Spanish course for 10 months is a HUGE amount of money, moreover to be paid in advance…
Does anybody have experience about this?
Is there any other VISA that can be asked for? Is there a particular Spanish Academy offering reasonable priced courses? Or what is the minimum length course required to get a long term Student VISA?
