Hi

I’m hoping to buy a new TV and I want to reprogramme the Sky remote control.  The last time that I bought a new TV you could check the list of codes online, but I can’t find them there now so I assume that you have to phone them.  Am I right?

I’m only buying a cheap “Nordmende” brand TV.  If you do have to ring them, would they not suspect me cos you can’t buy this brand in the UK?  Or is there another way to do this?

there is th best and most upto date list of codes to enable you to programme your sky remote actually on SkY itself!

Press Interactive,
Go to option 5, Sky Customer Services.
Go to option 5 - Programme your Remote
Follow the instructions…Nordmende are in the list with a lot of TV Models numbers…

will check around for an online list for you…

sometime the exact model is not in the list, but one of the codes may well work OK…

Be aware though that sometimes even when the exact model is shown the code given does not work…nor do the codes for similar models. That said, my experience is probably not common.
