Hello, I am new here and I have few questions to ask. Hope some experts can help me.

I am a Filipino and my girlfriend is a Filipino who became a spanish citizen for 4 yrs now, her mother is a spanish citizen as well as her sister.

We are here in the UK, and I only have a student visa here. She is also working in the UK so we plan to get marry here.
If we do get married, what is the process for me to obtain a spanish citizenship and how long will it take.

Do I need to go to Spain and live there after we get married?

I hope somebody can help me.

Thank you.

kelkel,
you will have to live in spain and get a residencia comunitaria, valid for 5 years, after a year you can apply for spanish citizenship you will get interviewed by the ministerio fiscal and then the police and wait around 2 to three years to get a registered with a spanish birth certificate. once you have a copy you can apply for the spanish dni and passport.
