Hi, 2nd post.

We got ripped off when TV went off in La marina and paid ?345.00 euros for some cowboys to put up another Tv system which lasted 2 months.

My first idea was to record a load of programs on a sky plus box and take it over,( put a bigger hard drive in it 500g/b)

I thought i’d take a sky spare box over and play the progams off it, this doesn’t work because the sky box need to be receiving a sat signal to play the recorded progams.

We then recorded films and programs onto dvd discs, this worked ok, but ended up with a load of dodgy looking discs in our hand luggage.

So for us, we have got around the current problem of our no TV in spain. We spend every other month over there.
(This is no good if you live over there all the while)

We took over a Dvd player with a USB connection, ?30.00 (available in Carrefour last time i was over there)

We have a cyclone hard drive recorder, so tape sky onto a laptop size 500g/b portable harddrive over here in the uk and then take it with us when we go to Spain (small enough to fit in your pocket) but we can approx 125 x 2 hour films on it. The dvd player it will also play off a pen drive ie flash drive. 32g/b = approx 16 hours of TV

We will have a sat dish put up some time soon, but we found it a good stop gap.

Ps i do not watch much telly while we are in Spain, I just like the challenge.

Hope this helps someone.
