Wondered if anyone has an idea on the procedure for non eu citizens getting divorced in Spain. I am a South African citizen who has been married to my Spanish wife for almost 4 yrs.3 and half have been spent living in Spain. We have a son together and she has recently filed for a divorce. Anyone what my legal status will be in Spain after the divorce? I am planning on getting a lawyer but if the procedure is simple then I would ideally not like to waste any money.
