I currently live in Scotland and also own a property in Ciudad Quesada, Rojales. I am looking to move to Quesada permanently and to that end require to find employment. I can move within 4 weeks notice to my current employer.

I recently completed 29 years in the Royal Navy and I am currently employed as an Instructor/Teacher with a company called Skill Force teaching secondary school pupils age 13-16 years life skills and core skills for employment.

From my background in the Royal Navy I worked in Aircraft Engineering specialising in communications (Radio, Radar and Sonar). Reaching management status. If anybody has any vacancies for employment now or in the future I would be very interested. I am a very adaptable person and would welcome any form of employment. Technical or manual labour. (satellite installer appeals).

Many thanks in anticipation for taking the time to read this. Should anyone require to contact me they can via email

Hi Ian, Very specialist skills! Suggestion - hit the web pages for the local papers eg. Round Town News, Coastrider, Costa Blanca News. Maybe the new IT companies installing Tv/Phone/ADSL systems etc maybe an option. Good luck.

Rob

Many thanks, I do read those newspapers when I visit and also online. But I shall keep a close eye on them. As I stated although I have skills I will do any kind of work not necessarily technical.

regards

Ian

Hi Ian,

On our satellite tv page we have a few links to satellite TV install companies here in Spain. Try one of them in particular: Costa Blanca Expats, the guy’s name is Bill. He might have some info about jobs doing installs for you.

Hi Ian,
Did you look at http://costablancaexpats.net/ ? I’m sure his contact information is on there… I know it’s not a great website, but I also know the guy is in deep with the satellite tv stuff.

If that doesn’t work out then my apologies, you’ll might have to do some further Googling around.

That is a little bit of an understatement but help is at hand! We at CB Web Solutions could definitely make the site far more user-friendly and professional.

I know! It’s bad but I know Bill somewhat and he’s very <strike>strict</strike> old-school. Feel free to contact him about it but perhaps don’t mention me… 😉

I couldn’t agree more, especially here in Spain. You guys must be constantly busy. If not then, well, that proves our point.

... and now that we’ve totally de-railed Ian’s thread…

I might take you up on that!! In all seriousness, it never ceases to amaze me how people get good ideas and act on them but let themselves down with a very ‘limited’ website lets say!

Maybe my posting was of use to someone then !! Do you have any jobs at CB Web Solutions ? I’m not a web designer but I am sure I would be good for something, even if it is making the tea or odd job man filing/admin.
