I have done some research, and am a little confused…
Am I correct in thinking that a MUSIC LICENSE is for live music, and my OPENING LICENSE, as a BAR, would cover me for background recorded music?
Also, if in the evening, I were to significantly increase the volume, because we were busy, and if people get the urge to dance, am I then flouting any laws?
I have no desire to have LIVE MUSIC in whichever bar we choose to buy.
Thanks

I would suggest you check with your local town hall as rules vary and can be affected by things like whether you are a commercial below residential etc.
