Hi 😊
I am 40 years old and my husband is 26 years old we have 2 children aged 14 years and 5 years and we are from North Wales in the UK. At present my husband works for himself in the electronic security business, working with intruder alarms, CCTV camera systems, access control systems and security lighting installing and maintaining small and large systems. I have a degree in Youth and Community work and I currently work in a residential boys school caring for young boys with SEBD. We currently own our home and are selling up to give us some capital but we are looking to rent a home in Spain.

We are looking to move to Spain to start a new life and hopefully a better one. We are both adaptable when it comes to work and would be willing to take anything on to give our family this chance at improving our lives.

If anyone can give us some advice as to where would be good to resettle both for job opportunities and for a good education for our children. Any other advise about the complete resettlement would be much appreciated.

Thank you all x

Well the job situ. isn’t good in Spain, sorry.

If your husband has work I think it would be a good idea to hold on to it.

You can get your qualifications recorgnised but it takes a long time, it took me two years with help from my Spanish family. I think the best way to get work, would be to know someone, ie a friend.

Also if you don’t speak Spanish, it would be a good idea to start learning now, you can get by, but it’s getting by.
