Hi all,

Basically it has been a dream of mine to open a bar in Spain for a couple of years now and I’m really hoping that this is the year I accomplish that dream.
I’m really considering leasing a bar in Spain and I’m trying to do my homework on it now. Obviously want to go into this fully aware of all the risks.
Not sure where the bar will be located yet but most likely one the Canaries.
Would really love to hear about some personal experiences. Any advice what so ever would be great! 😊

Hi there,

It’s great that you have the dream and that you’re so determined to go for it. But do be careful right now. Spain and the islands arent the bustling tourist hotspots they once were, even in the summer months. Many expat residents have had to go home due to lack of money / work and obviously the euro / pound exchange rate isnt helping much either. That said, of course some bars still do work out and if you can open one which appeals to the locals aswell, even better. Maybe try and learn the lingo before you arrive to bolster your chances of success. Best of luck!
