Hi

I have to renew my residencia in july.  I been reading stuff about this subject all over the place and to be honest some of this is a little complicated.

Can someone answer these questions for me in yes or no form please, (or at least simply)??

1. Is the existing new type of residencia certificate definately going to change back to being a card or not?

2. If so do you know when this is supposed to happen?

3. If not, do I have to carry my passport around with the residencia certificate?

4. Do I need an appointment with the Oficina de Extranjeros or can I just turn up?

5. what’s the number of the form that I need to “renew” my residencia not apply for the first time?  I hear tell that it is ex-16 or ex-00 which is that right if any?

6. From what I can see form ex-16 is an application for residencia & it doesn’t actually say “renewal” & the same with ex-00, but ex-15 seems to be an application for an ID CARD as an Extranjero.  Would this be a good thing to apply for to carry around with you instead of your passport but WITH the residencia certificate?

7. Is it also true (just something that I have read, “People not needing a residence certificate:
People living and working legally in Spain and paying contributions to the Spanish Social Security system”), that if you work here and pay seguridad social that you do not have to have a residencia?

8. I have also heard tell that people can be given their certificate there and then, if this isn’t true do you actually have to go back and collect them or are they posted to you?

Thanks in advance for any responses

Caroline

1. No - no more cards

2. N/A

3. Yes in theory.

4. Depends on the procedures at your local office.

5. EX 16

6. EX 15 is for non EU ONLY

7. No you must still register to be on the safe side.

8. They will never post it - some offices process same day some don’t

Hi Rob

Thanks for that.

I’m now trying to fill in the form!!!

I know that there is a UTube demo that tells you how to do this but unfortunately I knocked my speaker on the floor and now it doesn’t work.

So, I wondered if you could give me a little guidance please?

1. Per?odo previsto de residencia en Espa?a - I’m assuming that this means how long to you plan to stay/live in Spain and that the answer is “Por todo”?

2. Fecha acreditada de inicio de la residencia en Espa?a - means start date and would be the date after the expiry date of the residencia?

3. Datos del familiar que da derecho a la aplicaci?n del r?gimen comunintario (s?lo para familiars) - Not sure about this.  There is just me and my hubby.  We both have our own residencias, I’m guessing that we don’t fill this in?

4. Datos de la solicitud (2) - We just want a straightforward renewal, so is the answer “Certificado Registro residente comunitario?

5. Supuestos de acceso - I’m totally lost on this section, I believe, (if any) that it would be the first section, but it’s not a family card so do I fill in anything here or not?

6. Domicilios a efectos de notificaciones - is just our home address?

7. The date of signature - do you put Almer?a cos that’s where you are at the time or the name of our town?

FINALLY!!! 8. Yes in the consent boxes?

I appreciate your help & thanks in advance.

Thanks Rob

I haven’t that sort of money, i’ll ask at the office when I get there, see if they’ll go through it with me.

Cheers
