bigboy,
first of all you are a filipino citizen,
second you may be able to acquire spanish citizenship. but it will depend on some circumstances.
please answer the ff. questions.
in your filipino birth certificate, what citizenship did your mother register you?
also in your filipino birth certificate, is your mother registered as a spanish citizen?

bigboy,
how did your mother become a spanish citizen?
was she born in spain?
if she was born in the philippines was she registered at the spanish embassy in makati by your grandfather when she was born?
did she have a spanish passport before you were born?

bigboy,
if the consul told her to go back and apply for her passport, why did she not do this? why did she not go back and register you as spanish citizens? when did this happen?

bigboy,
when you are registered as spanish citizen at the spanish embassy, you will be issued a new spanish birth certificate. you need this to get a spanish passport. the spanish embassy will issue you this too, i do not know if they issue the spanish id card (dni) and social security number, if not then you will have to come to spain to apply for them.
do you speak spanish?

bigboy,
before you migrate to spain, i would suggest that you try to reach intermediate level while you are in the philippines and have your mother talk to you always in spanish. and learn a skill. i hope after two years the recession will be over and you can compete for jobs, it is not going to be easy. good luck.
