Hi.

i have lots of cd?s which i have used for back ups over a couple of years, and also a faulty hard drive taken out of my laptop,  what is the best way to get rid of these things so that people can?t find and use the personal info on them?

hope someone can help.

Open the harddrives, run a strong magnet over the tapes.

Shatter or shred the CDs.

You need a very special tool which requires technical training to use. Its name ?

A hammer.

Have fun.
