Call me a cynic, a couple of days ago I posted the newbie thread asking the normal questions one asks when thinking about moving to a new country, of course there is lots of information out there, but there are also things that one has self experienced that may help others, my wife and I are really looking for our final retirement country we have searched the exotics of asia and australia(42monthsin thailand,15 years in australia) each we used the expat forums for information, thai visa forum for example was so informative we still use it daily because there are so many active members who actully read new threads as and at least recomend other places to look for information , but this forum nichts ,nada still we did only ask!!

Sorry that you’ve had a poor response. Personally I would recommend Panama.Big expat community (especially US). US dollar is their currency, great weather, nice housing (cheaper than US or UK). Not perfect, but where is?

Thanks for your comments,spent quite a bit of time in panama, at one of our quarantine stations, my wife could not get used to the idea of being shot at occasionally,we are really looking forward to spain,john
