From the legal section of this magnificent site I learned that one can get a stamp when becoming a resident and in possession of a EU driving license.

However, the Dutch have recently issued those nice plastic card license thingies, and I reckon it would be quite unfriendly to the stamp. Does anyone have any experience on how to go about this issue?

I will like to help you but you hardly give information. I suggest you contact one of those guys that do “Driver License exhange” I trade my Florida one for a French and pay about 10 dollars.
