Hello, My name is Kore and I am a 42 yo Franco/American woman currently living with my 4 year old son in Morocco.

I am preparing to move to the Barcelona area (spring 2011) and would greatly appreciate any feedback on location : my intent is to come spend some time “looking around”, outside of Barcelona, but suggestions of specific places would be very helpful.

I would like to find a small town, reasonably affordable, up to 60 kms from Barcelona, that is dynamic yet manageable (I am fed up with cities) and with good bilingual/english schools. I am more interested in developing a warm, community life “inland” (trees!!) than being on the (overcrowded) seafront.

My intent is to purchase a small house (with garden) within a budget of about 400 000 euros; I looked into the Sitges area, but it is much more expensive and so I am seeking feedback on other locations/alternatives.

Also, as I currently live in Tangiers, if anyone is interested in a home exchange for 2-4 weeks or so in 2011 let me know and we can discuss possibilities.
