I have a problem with community building insurance. During floods in January mine and my neighbours apartment suffered damage. Because of the severity of the floods the most of the insurance was covered by the National Consortium. However, a further claim for repairs through the Community building insurance was agreed but never paid, the claim being now seven months old. Our Administrator appointed the Insurer but refuses to act on my or my neighbour’s behalf in getting payment. The broker involved is Spanish speaking and I am not. Is the Administator legally responsible to act on my behalf in this dispute?
