You guys seem way more informative than anyone I’ve encountered.

I’m a US citizen interested in moving to Spain. I graduated dental school in the Dominican Republic and I want to validate my title there. The validation process takes longer than what my tourist visa allows so I figured I get a job and apply for a work visa.

My problem is that I don’t know whether I can apply for a work visa while in Spain. Could someone apply for the visa on my behalf while I’m in Spain if I send them the contract?

Plzzzz help.

if you plan to work as dentist the first thing you are supposed to have your degree accredited first.
if you read my posts you will discover that getting a working resident permit is almost impossible for a tourist.
there are ways to get it though, like getting married to an eu citizen, or getting spanish citizenship if you have a spanish born grandparent (depending on the circumstances), or staying as a student for 3 years.
if your degree is officially recognized you can try working as self employed, but this will mean that you will have to make considerable investment.
check this link

you will see the visa requirements for student, nonworking or working resident.
