Hi guys,

My friend is moving to to Spain next month and he would buy a house with a swimming pool. During his canvassing, he considered two houses; both have swimming pool but the other one has an empty pool, but the price is almost exactly the same.

I would like to ask if is there a law in Spain for swimming pools? or perhaps a real state “rules”?

Some say it doesn’t matter if the swimming pool is empty or not, the price would be very much the same, is this true?

I don’t think law comes into it just common sense. If you buy a property with an empty pool how can you be sure the pump works and there are no leaks plus the fact you will have to pay to fill it.

I would go for the property with the pool full. The other might leak and this can be expensive to have mended.

what I want to know is why a house with an empty pool has the same price with a house with a full pool
