Hello everyone my name’s John and I’m a 32 year old Spanish speaking teacher who has come to settle in Benalmadena on the Costa Del Sol to start writing my first novel. I have a place to stay and modest savings but the money won’t last long so I was wondering if anyone has any advice about how to get some part time work in these parts to keep the wolf from the door? I read that unemployment has just hit 20% so i appreciate this might not be the best of times to be looking but hey where there’s a will there’s a way right?!

Ideally i would like to take a break from teaching but if necessary i am prepared to go down the TEFL line if indeed that’s even realistic in this area at this time of year.

Looking forward to hearing from you and if there’s anyone in the area pm me and maybe we could meet for coffee or something….really want to make as many friends as poss right now because am all alone and don’t want to become a sad lonely recluse if i’m not one already 😊
