Hi,

I am a teacher from New York, moving to Barcelona for a job.  I’ve thrown away just about everything I own and plan on packing lightly, but I can’t part with all my books!  Does anyone know of any cheap shipping ideas?  Have you had good experience shipping things over before you arrive?  How long does it take/How much does it cost?

Sorry I can’t be too much help, but when we shipped from the UK to Canada a couple of years ago we used part of a ships container.  (found in the phone book) They price things on space rather than weight.  Good Luck.
