I’m a EU citizen living in Spain for over a year and my boyfriend is an american, currently living in US. We have plans to get married soon and we’ve heard stories about how long it takes for the marriage process to be completed in Spain. On the other hand the process of getting married in US through the fiancee visa seems to take just as long and also be quite expensive.

So I’m asking for some advice: where do you think it would consume less time and money?
