Does anyone know the going rate for employing a cleaning person in a private house.  Just say, 3 hours one day a week?  Thanks.

Itwould depend where you live. Central Madrid being probably a lot more than a village of a few thousand - particularly if you are looking for someone trustworthy and professional. Here on the coast south of Granada it is about 10 euros per hour.

Thanks for that.  We live in a large ex-pat area, Playa Flamenca south of Alicante.  People normally charge about 50/60? to clean a regular size rental property on change-over days but I just want someone to come in once a week, so I was thinking 40? for 3 hours just general cleaning.  Small world by the way, my oldest friend’s husband has an apartment in Solobrena, Ken Murrell!

Incredibly small given the size of Salobrena and the fact it is not a typical destination for foreigners but is a nice spot.

There should be lots of people looking you would imagine - but often the good ones don’t need to look!!
