So I’ll keep this short.

I have dual American and Filipino citizenship.

What is the quickest way for me to gain Spanish citizenship? What are my options as of now? I’m a little confused by what exactly one has to do. Acquire residency yes, but for someone residing stateside this happens…how?

I’m also aware that Spain still has concessions for former colonies. I happen to be of Filipino “lineage”. How do I go about using my dual citizenship to acquire Spanish citizenship?

I’m 21 and thinking about graduate school. But I’m not sure if those years count as my 2 years. I’m just confused overall, on top I hear Spain has sky high unemployment.

Acquire residency for spain you need to apply to you loacl spanish embassy in you area of where you live , are get touch with Filipino embassy if you used you Filipino passport . Each country has diffrent rules and requirements some earyer the outhers , many want to look them up and then think wich passport you used ,
do come back and ask more here

do that a look at Legal Most recently updated in our Legal in Spain topic . link is here , http://www.spainexpat.com/spain/category/C5/Legal/
