Hello Everyone!

I have been exhaustively applying and searching for an English teaching job in Spain. I received these two documents from a company in Spain called De Leena Intl. School in Velez, Malaga. First they required me to send my CV. Then they required me to answer questions for an online interview. I sent that in yesterday and received an email today stating the following :

“Hi again,

We have obtained the workpermit form from the spanish immigration, kindly fill the form, attach your most recent passport photo at the space provided, and return it immediately to this email address, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) It has to be forwarded to the immigration together with the signed contract and your credentials for the processing of your working and travelling papers.

Stay in touch

Arancha Espada”

Dear Sagar,

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW CAN I TELL IF THESE DOCUMENTS ARE REAL? IF THIS IS A REAL WORK EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT AND IF THE IMMIGRATION FORM FOR ” APPLICATION VISA/WORK PERMIT FORM” IS LEGITIMATE?? I TRIED TO CALL THE CONSULATE HERE IN LOS ANGELES AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN’T VERIFY THIS INFORMATION. I DO NOT WANT TO SEND A COPY OF MY PASSPORT OR ANY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION TO THIS COMPANY UNTIL I KNOW THEY ARE LEGIT. THEY DO NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER FOR ME TO CALL BUT ONLY AN ADDRESS. I AM ATTACHING THE DOCUMENTS SO HOPEFULLY SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN GIVE ME THEIR OPINION - THANKS ALOT GUYS!! LONG LIVE SPAINEXPAT!!

SINCERELY,

SAGAR

doesn’t look too hopefull.

I googled:
“Daleena international language school Malaga”  4 irrelevant results
also have spend about 10 mins looking for that immigration form and cannot find any reference to it, most if not all forms are on-line today - yes even here in Spain!

Want my honest answer to help with your problem? Get married to a Spaniard! sorry, quickest & easiest (kinda) way that i know…

Hi,

My first question is: How did you find them, or how did they find you?

The documents are too small to read, but I saw three big red flags against them while reading your post:

1) They have a Yahoo! email address.
2) They don’t turn up in a Google search.
3) The language of their emails reminded me too much of all those Nigerian spam emails I receive.

thanks guys - i knew it was some scam - just wanted other opinions - also got a verification from some lawyers in spain.

you know, i wish i could just marry someone as it would be easy, but everyone knows k el amor es una putada.

there has to be someone in this world who can help, there has to be a breakthrough. i refuse to give up.

when you’ve got heart, nothing can stop you .

thanks for the responses guys, i appreciate it .

Go for it! I’m a strong believer in “where there’s a wil, there’s a way” you just have to find it…Challenge yourself, push yourself to your limits and then at least you have tried everything within your power… Actually i was going to suggest getting married to a Spaniard!

Hi RG!

Sagar, is there any way you could come to Spain first as a student and then look for a job (or a nice Spanish or EU girl) while you’re here?

hehe… well i mean i would need a source of income, and to enroll into a school i would lose money - i have thought about it - there have to be more people in my situation, i think we should all group together and form a company to establish ourselves. we could all pitch in to have it done and it would provide us legal working and residency status in spain -
