I have just accepted early retirement, which will commence first week of March.

We will both (the wife and me) be under the normal retirement age

We will be selling up and moving to Spain, the areas we have looked at and feel most suits us is Alicante south thru Puerto de Mazarron.

Although we have done a lot of reading (including this forum) I would be grateful for any advice that is available on the move (removal and storage companies), long term rental, the movement of funds from uk to spain, etc, whilst we look for that dream and anything

Look forward to hearing from anybody with useful advice.

Regards

Derek and Tina

make sure you get private healthcare. you will not be covered under spanish nhs until you reach normal retirement age unless disabled or on certain benefits.
