I have seen lots and read lots on the NIE, I have one small question and that relates to the NIE and timing. I am intending to junp ship in June 2008 and like all good control freaks I want to have everything in place to make my move less stressful. This includes obtaining an NIE number well before I leave.  Is it possible to get an NIE before you actually are in Spain and without an address, given it is specifically requested in the form. Also everything else requires one, so if I wish to buy a new car prior to arriving for delivery/pickup when I land then I need an NIE…Any advice apprciated
