Hi all,

I am newbie to the forums, and still living in the dull cold dump we all know and (used to) love before Gordon Brown started introducing newer and more stealthy ways of parting us from our bank balances .... Got to finance the MP’s demands for a huge pay rise from somewhere I suppose?

Anyway, I am quitting my job as an I.T. consultant for the M.O.D. and moving to Torre de la Horadada for a minimum of 6 months starting in March.
I hope to have established myself as a Guitarist and Singer by this time, and make the move permanent, but would like to get the ‘heads up’ on any good music venues around the area. I play all the good old rock classics from Queen, Dire Straits, Genesis, Gary Moore and others, and my ‘Party Piece is a couple of ripping Joe Satriani guitar tracks.
I have played in Tenerife and Fuerteventura and had a great reception there from the mostly British audiences, but the house prices in the Canaries are a bit out of my reach.

Can anybody give me any recommendations in the Costa Blanca area?
