Hi,

A friend of mine is looking for a psychiatrist that is based somewhere between Fuengirola/Calahonda and Malaga.
The “work” can be done in English or French.

Any suggestions are welcome 😊

Thanks in advance,
Magnus

Hello:

I do know of a very good psychologist (doctor in psychology)  in that area, but not sure if he would be able to conduct therapy in English or French.
You mention a PSYCHIATRIST, which is different.
If you just google in “psiquiatra” or “psiquiatr?a” and then the word M?laga, you will see quite a few psychiatrists appear.

Best of luck
Patricia

Hi Patricia,

Thanks, I will try your suggestions.

Yes unfortunately it has to be psychiatrist, it is a requirement from the company (for all practical purposes a psychologist would probably work as well).

Thanks!

Hi Magnuss.. depends on what your friend wants…
There is a medical insurance co near Myrimar (Assos?) who have a resident professional you mention, but they are Sp?nish speaking only…
There are plenty of private professionals out there.. but please beware I needed one for work purposes and there are plenty ready to fleece the unsuspecting!

Google and see what comes up.

Not an easy task…
(I met several qualified professionals, but only Spanish speaking…)

Gibraltar???

PS ’ If you know of anyone who has private medical insurance, they publish a book with a list of professionals…
Maybe they have a copy of this book online (I sort of remember this from before.)

You can access The Helvetia guide online.. but again I think they are predominantly Spanish.

Good luck with the search..
