Hey there. I will soon be living in Spain. I have a cousin that works at Tommy Hilifger and can get shirts for half the price. We were thinking of selling them in Madrid. He would be sending them from California to Madrid. How easy would it be for me to get
10-25 shirts through customs?  I hear that Tommy Sells for much more in Spain. Also, I was wondering where I could possibly sell the shirts?  Could I sell them at the local Rastros?  Any helpful hints or information would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

I recalled your email as we walked along the coast in Torrevieja yesterday where the street sellers were selling bootleg shirts (lacoste etc) I would say selling genuine gear in a market would mean most people thinking they were bootleg and only wanting to pay bootleg prices.

Also some friends bought 2 bootleg Chinese watches off the internet but were asked to pay duty when they arrived in Spain so I dont know if you will have a problem at customs. I have just bought a GPS from America via the net for a fantastic price but I have a feeling that I will also be charged import duty when it arrives in Spain probably meaning I might as well have bought it in Spain.

Haha, yeah. I was going to mention the bootleg thing as a big deterrent to importing clothes these days, but didn’t want to be too discouraging. It’s true though. Spaniards are into unique designers more and more these days too; when it comes to every day clothes you find them at H&M buying jeans for 25? (cheap).
