Hola all,
My name is Brandt.  I’ve been tearing through this site’s articles and forums for the last 8 months or so without posting much of anything.  I arrived in Madrid today and will, undoubtedly, be hassling all of you for months/years to come.  Pain or not that I may be, I’ve made my introduction- Hello everyone.

I’m an American (hold the sighs please).  I’ve lived in the midwest and the southwest.  I’m on the side of the Arguelles district, in between the San Bernardo and Quevedo metro stops for the moment.  I must also be crazy for thinking that Mexican Spanish would bear any similarity to the language here.  Live and learn right?

Hi Brandt,

Welcome to Madrid. I live right near you, between Islas Filipinas and Arg?elles, so if you have any questions about the neighborhood or want to meet up for a cup of coffee, let me know.

(I’m from California by the way.)

I’d love to meet up for a coffee some time Dreamer.  I’m just kind of floating around Madrid with no purpose or motivation whatsoever for the next week until I start school.  That and I know no one at all here (it’s like they speak a different language or something).
